Giving women a means to earn a living
Investing in livestock brings in a change in Krishnaveni’s life
Krishnaveni, with an HIV positive husband and two children, struggled to provide the basic needs for her family. Now with our Revolving Fund support for Livestock, she earns Rs 150 per day.
“I am able to pay for food, school fees and medical expenses. I am even able to save a little money each month, dreaming of building a small house” says Krishnaveni.
Strengthening the role of women
We ensure that women play a great role in enhancing the standard of their families. In support of this, we have given the women a revolving fund to invest in small businesses to generate a reasonable income. These women, who have become part of Bharathi Women Federation, are helping their families progress well.
Our achievements:
- Ten women are who are self-employed have become role model for other women Living with HIV/ AIDs.
- Monthly savings have increased from Rs 30 to Rs 150.
