Bold and brave Radhika

A jittery and jumpy Radhika would hide behind a friend during any speech or debate classes. With sweaty palms and a flushed face, she wished the class would be over in no time. Such was her fear of public speaking or debating a topic.

Her teacher thought differently. She wanted Radhika to refine and shine.

“If I spoke eloquently and kept the audience spell-bound, thank goes to my teachers of Alternative Learning Centre run by SSH. One of the best moments was when I got second place in a speech competition on Children’s Day. My ALC teacher polished my public speaking skills, master the art of stage fright, and built my oratory skills and general knowledge,” affirmed a proud Radhika who studies in a government Girl’s Higher Secondary School, Namakkal.
