Ramuthai plucks each flower with great care, joy and content. She forgets all her problems looking at the flowers blooming. 

“My life was different a few years back,” recalls Ramuthai. I have three children. My husband wouldn’t go for work and even meeting the basic needs were a challenge, leave alone educating my children.” 

Welcoming change 

When SSH offered her support for flower cultivation, under Income Generation Programme, she jumped at the idea. She received the IGP support from SSH for flower cultivation. She is a member of the local SHG member and Bharathi Women Federation. 

A new life blossomed

Ramuthai earns Rs 80 per day and is happy at the progress and dreams of her children completing education and securing suitable employment. “I am thankful to SSH for this new life. I am independent, a secured life for my son and me” a jubilant Ramuthai says.
